IDENTIFICATION Head Pores - Cephalic lateral line system with pores B',C(S),D(S),E,F,G,H' and K',L'; preopercle with pores M',N,O' Scales - Scales in lateral series 44-48(42-48) Fins - D1 - VI; D2 - I+15-16(13-16); anal - I+13-14(13-15); pectoral 19(18-20); D1 and D2 seperated by a small space; pelvic fin emarginate. head - Papillae - A transverse pattern; vertical rows 1-4 extending from the orbit to near row d; row 5i in front of row b; row 6i under the middle of row b; row din three sections, not greatly seperated. Color - A gold head, body somewhat transparent with small dark spots scattered over body. Distribution - Canary Islands, and Mediterranean Habitat - In the Canary Islands, found in habors with rock and fine sediments. Notes - |
